About Mr. Anderson
This is my fourteenth year teaching middle school math. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. I have been married 26 years and have two wonderful boys Collin and Justin. Collin is studying music production at Mesa Community College and Justin is also attending Mesa Community College but has not chosen a major yet. I have two dogs Zoe, a Husky, and Ginger, a German Shepherd mix. Before I was a teacher I served 5 years in the U.S. Army as an Avionics Technician. I repaired the radios and navigation systems on Blackhawk helicopters. After the military I worked as an Equipment Maintenance Technician at Motorola. There I repaired and maintained machines that helped build computer chips. I have always had an interest in technology and I look forward to using by background in science and technology to bring an inquiry focused, STEM curriculum to the students at ASU Prep Poly Stem. I am excited to have a Teacher Candidate from ASU teaching with me this year, Mr. Yac. Classroom Mission: In partnership with students and families, I value creating and fostering a safe, respectful, and rigorous learning community that empowers and engages students to grow and thrive as global citizens. |
